- Currently sole designer for Ethan Allen, responsible for approx. 90% of case goods currently shown in their
retail stores.
- New collections include; Avenue, Townhouse, Tuscany, Tango, Workspace, Modern Glamour, British Classics
Additions, New Country Additions, Newport, American Artisans, Maison. 3 time Pinnacle award winner.
-All collections current except Avenue. Total sales conservatively estimated at above 1 billion dollars since
engaged with company.
-Have travelled extensively on behalf of Ethan Allen including Northern and Southern China, Philippines,
Indonesia, France and Italy
-A strong focus on domestic plant capabilities is based on strong commitment to American made products.

-Strategic Decisions– Work as a contract consultant in the field of consumer research and product planning for a
variety of well known furniture companies.
-www.theinternetswitch.com– Founded to design and market physical internet security products.
-Appalachian Woodwrights– Founded company making high end entry doors and architectural woodworking
products.

Ralph Lauren Division/Henredon Furniture Industries; Licensee of Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation
Director of Design, 1993-1999
-Participated in the process of attaining license agreement.
-Personally designed new product and directed the selection of designs offered by Ralph Lauren.
-Wrote product copy, directed development of hardware, finishes and prototypes for approval and conducted
sales meeting at Polo showrooms in NY, Conducted product training at opening of Beverly Hills Polo store.
-Total line sales grew to $40 million per year in 1998-1999.
-Designed and developed import programs in wood, stainless steel, rattan and leather from Chile, Columbia, Asia
and Italy.
-Designed collections: Ralph, Thoroughbred, Rock & Roll Thoroughbred, Irish Cottage, RL Country, Cottage,
Estate, Studio and Loft.
Henredon Furniture Industries; Manufacturer of high end home furnishings
-Accountable for the development of all new collections introduced at market.
-Responsibilities included oversight of freelance designer projects as well as personal new collection work.
-Personal designs included; Aegean Folio, Elan Additions, Polyester Wall Systems, Scene 1 Additions, Charles X
Occasional, Savoy, 7-Continents Additions, American Artisan, Home Theater.
-”Design For Excellence”; A program developed with Rand corporation that worked to improve product
development process in conjunction with all manufacturing and production departments.
-Pro-Engineer: Implemented first use of CAD as design and engineering tool. Pro-engineer subsequently
selected “Best Practice” by parent company Masco and was standardized for use in sister companies.

-Took advantage of an opportunity to work “hands on “ with my personal designs in a small custom shop
environment. Designed and built spec projects for clients including: Morgan Stanley, Viacom, Aetna, Goldman
Sachs, and Polo.

-Colonial Williamsburg Reproductions:
Responsible for product development relationship with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation including overall
analysis of line, selection of new products, documentation of antiques, and correspondence with curator and
review committee.
-Art Finishes:
Development format for a faux finishes and decorations program to give more color flexibility to existing
mahogany collections. Oversaw all aspects of selecting product, developing production techniques, hiring Art
Director, producing sample for market, writing program copy and directing catalog photography.
-Line Merchandising Program:
Directed efforts to review 650 upholstery and case good products manufactured in our Buffalo facility for price
point, sales success and position in overall product mix. Coordinated a series of marketing meetings with
production and sales staff resulting in discontinuing 170 products and targeting 75 slots for new products.
-New Catalog Development:
Developed format for Kittinger’s first new catalog in 20 years. Directed over 600 product shots as well as wrote
and edited marketing and product copy.
-Newport, Rhode Island Reproductions Program: Worked with the Preservation Society at Historic Newport to
select and develop 32 reproductions. Sat on the marketing committee that consisted of all licensed
manufacturers including Tiffany and Wedgewood.
